People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between ME and God. It was never between ME and YOU.

I don’t speak to-address bullying I speak to address the culture of your school.

Many speakers will come and give you the “how to stop bullying” speech, bottom line you cant stop bullying if you can’t empower your students to change the culture of your school.

This smmer I will be working on a curriculum that will help schools learn to cculture heir culture.

This past month I was storied in Red Bull Magazine for the work I am doing with Skate for Change, with the tag under my name “Mike does good.”

An energy drink company who has given wings to insane things like The Art of Flight & Shaun White, never stops looking for people who have big ideas and gives them an opportunity to achieve it.

Red Bull has helped give wings to my dream of empowering young skaters all over the country to use their boards not only as a means to express themselves but as a means to bringing change and hope to their communities.

That’s why I love Red Bull.

In the small farm communities of western Nebraska to the suburbs of Colorado, out to the beach communities of Southern California and throughout the rugged high schools in inner city Dallas, the story is the exactly the same. Our young kids have more social interaction at the tip of their fingers than ever before and it has forever changed the scope and intensity of bullying.

When I was a kid you faced bullies at school, on the playgrounds, in the halls, or at lunch. At school and you dealt with bullies face to face, but at least you were safe at home. Those days are gone. Our kids now have a twenty-four hour hall pass to say what they want, when they want, to whom they want.

Most educators and parents who have had cyber-bullying affect their students know that the school systems are in some serious need of help. Every school I’ve been to this year has said the same thing. Councelors are spending less and less time trying to help the next generation get into college and more time dealing with cyber-bullying. So who’s left to help our young people think about their future? What is your school doing about it?
